I think the same is true for understanding our religious roots. We are increasingly becoming a country of "nones" - people with no affiliation to any particular Christian tradition, but that's not the way religion started in the country. This study will look at eight of the most predominant Christian traditions. We will look at their history, their theology and the practices and traditions which set them apart from other Christian denominations. The video will feature clergy who will introduce us to their beliefs and help us to understand their place in the Christianity family tree.
This study will not only show us the ways that these denominations are different, but also the things they have in common. If you've ever wanted to know more about your Christian family tree, or what another Christian tradition might believe then this might be just the study for you.
We'll be meeting on Wednesdays at 1230 at the Fairchild AFB Chapel, but you can also join us here online. The book is available from Cokesbury.com, amazon.com or in electronic format.
I'll be posting after class on Wednesdays. Please feel free to be a part of the conversation.
Peace, Deb
