This week we will look at the beginnings of the Protestant Reformation and see how Martin Luther was definitely a man of his time. He was not the only theologian to bring challenges and initiate changes, but certainly made his ideas know is a very splashy way. Here are some questions to think about as you complete this week's reading.- What led Martin Luther to pursue reforms in the church?
- What concepts or practices did he think were leading the church away from God's intentions
- What concepts or practices did he feel would lead the church and it's people back onto the right path?
- How did each of these teachings get lived out in the life of the church and/or the people?
- Priesthood of All Believers:
- Sola Scriptura:
- Justification by Faith:
- How do these concepts get reflected in your own faith traditions?
Looking forward to our conversations this week.
Peace, Deb
